Rarely has high school been graduated without crushes or
heartbreaks. At some point in life all of us have faced this hardship. All of us have had the one we had admired
from afar, one we hated outright but crushed on, one we might have dated,
dumped or just mutually broken up with.
Then there are those of us who have best friends we wished
they were more, and not had to witness them flitting from one relationship to
another.
Any red-blooded human being would have gone through any one,
if not all, of this at some point in their life. And so did Shraxis. Except that it was her
almost-playboy bestie, had followed her to college to.
Just when she thought she did not have to feel the
heartbreak again, she came to know that her bestie, Manan, materialized saying
‘Surprise’.
For days she was fretting about how she would have to endure
the tortures once again and not be able to tell him about how much Shraxis
liked Manan.
The question most girls ask and, so do I, how do we read
guys? How do we girls know whether the boys like us or like like or just plain
old hate us but pretend to tolerate, was the million dollar question.
This was Shraxis’ problem; ‘ I like Manan, I like like him,
but I don’t really want to date him because his girlfriends’
don’t last more than 6 months, and I don’t want him to be one of them. I don’t
want see him date anyone either, but that will surely happen. Should I date other guys? Will I offend him
if I do?’
Her words.
So tell me what should be done? Should she confront him or
pretend to be okay with what they have now?
