Review: Marriage by Law

Marriage by Law Marriage by Law by N.K. Pockett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Marriage By Law is a pretty, awesome and relaxing. The story-line may be cliched, but the book is definitely worth a read.

The highlight of the book are the characters. They were funny and adorable. There is no way, you will not fall in love with Ivory, Darius and Adrian (atleast).

In my opinion, the best part of the book was that there was subtle (and not 'sizzling'), but strong chemistry. Ivory and Darius balanced each other very well. She was adorably childish and kind of immature, while Darius was uptight (not in a jerk-ish way), and serious. They were both extreme characters, but together they created a balance. And Adrian was the just awesome!!

The only negative was that, it lacked depth.

So, the tagline is 'Marriage By Law' is smooth, fun and definitely a story for passing time.

Review: The Mischievous Mrs. Maxfield

The Mischievous Mrs. Maxfield The Mischievous Mrs. Maxfield by Ninya Tippett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

One word 'beautiful'!!

This is one of those books that you put down satisfied and a bit of melancholia at the same time. You will miss the characters, the plot,... basically everything...

I was a little hesitant to read the book because of its 'cliche' plot line. But the thing that really made e pick the book up was the book-cover.The cover just screamed sass and love sassy!! I just had to read it after that.

Miss Tippet has done an absolutely amazing job of bringing together the characters and the plot; having the right amount of sugar, spice and everything nice, so to speak.

The story is beautiful in itself. The plot is simple, kind of like modern day Cinderella without the hind-and-seek (thank heavens). But what just made it all different is the way the book was written, with bit of cockiness, a lot of sass, a little of tears and a lot of heartfelt love.

The beauty in the whole book comes from how very positive the whole book is. Accepted, that the book has a fairy-tale approach, but what makes it different is the small messages about life Miss tippet has incorporated so beautifully under the veil of all that spectacularly conveyed emotions.

Charlotte - a poor girl who has seen too much in her 19 years and literal epitome of 'when life gives you lemons, make lemonades'
Brandon - the billionaire, with a - heart of gold encased by a rock.

The way they come together, in the midst of all that angst, the contract-induced guilt, the societal differences, is a book worthy of being read.

One other thing that makes the story unique is Brandon 'not' being yet another cliched handome-and-dork protagonist. He is genuine and this one of those books where the female protagonist did 'not' have to go through extreme emotional turmoil or go out of her way to change the male protagonist for the both of them to have a HEA (Happily Ever After). They were the most easiest things that happened to each other. They just beautifully balance each other in all ways. They are just cute.

All the secondary characters were very well developed and all had a very important role to play. they were all beautifully painted (that's the word). You just can't hate anybody.

There was drama, but was not dramatic.

Like I said - one word - Beautiful!!

I first read this book on Wattpad. It's a book worth reading once....twice....thrice....

Review: Storm and Silence

Storm and Silence Storm and Silence by Robert Thier
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

One word - AWESOME!!

Absolutely one of the best romantic-comedies I have ever read.

God, I don't even know where to start.

All I can say is that READ THE BOOK. - http://w.tt/1QGFlxu

Ambrose is awsome. Lilly is awesomer. The book is the best!!!

I know this isn't exactly a proper review, but I am too hyper at the moment. Maybe when Book 2 comes out, I'll do a better job. Sorry.

Warning: The end is a cliff-hanger.

Can't wait for the second book

Review: The Robber Knight

The Robber Knight The Robber Knight by Robert Thier
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Robber Knight (The Robber Knight Saga, #1) by Robert Thier

My very first medieval story and I loved it. It was completely fun and breathtakingly humorous.

CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS

The story is about Ayla (the daughter of a Lord) and Ruben (a thief).

Ayla is this super awesome, feisty, stubborn and sharp-tounged girl, who rules the land on behalf of her ill father. One very fine day, Lord Something threatens to wage war on the land if she does not marry him. She very bravely/stupidly says no.

As she comes back from warning the peasants in the suburbs of her land, she is robbed by a Knight in Red armor (Ruben).

The same night, she finds a terribly injured man who seems to have fought and killed the enemy soldiers. She takes him back to her castle where she tends to him, not knowing he is the Robber Knight.

As the battle progresses so does Ayla and Ruben's affection. He lies about his identity, knowing she will hang him for his crimes.

His true identity is a mystery, but since desperate times calls for desperate measures, she chooses to believe his lies and takes battle advises from him.

The book is about how the ruthless and blood-thirsty Ruben falls for the feisty and stubborn Ayla.

The characters are very comical and will make you laugh. And along with the so many other medieval information, the book is interesting and intriguing to say the least.

As far as I know there are 2 more books in this series:
Book 2: Robber Knight's Love
Book 3: Robber Knight's Secret

Both of these books can be read on Wattpad.
